the amazing race asia 2

i don't know why i like this show so much...well let me correct that, i actually do know why i like this show so much:

firstly, i go home so late from work that this is about the only entertaining show that i'm able to watch when i arrive at midnight.

secondly, i am a competitive person and nationalistic at that so i am all for Team Philippines, Marc and Rovilson go!

thirdly, well i'm a girl (hep! no objections haha!) and i can't help liking hunky guys with brains to boot! i like them even more when they just fool around while everyone else is taking the race so seriously. remember that part of the fun in racing is to enjoy every moment in between the starting line and finish line.

now that TARA2 is down to the last race, my support still goes to Marc and Rovilson. good luck guys!

being a sports person

what does it feel like to be a sports person? apparently, to find out...i must suffer lots of aches and bruises the past weekend to experience being one haha! :D

we had a badminton tournament for P&G FinSol people. i had doubts in participating. why? prior to the tournament, i was dead tired for i had less than 6 hrs of sleep in 48 hrs then i have to get up again to join the tournament. i was actually torn. i like to participate in the tournament because i want to do some physical activity after days and weeks of sticking myself in the office chair (call it massage chair too since i often stay in the massage room). i have also committed to being an umpire in the tournament and i sooo do not want to let the "umpire team" down. on the other hand, like i said, i was dead tired. it turns out, being dead tired is less important than bonding with the FinSol Team so i decided to go :D

in the end, i did not regret going since i actually got to see different sides of my officemates when they are at play. apparently, people in P&G particularly in FinSol, really do have passion for winning be it in work or at play. what made it more special was that our team won (surpsrise! surprise!) but admittedly, i did not contribute much since i only played 2 games and lost both (loser!hehe...), i did more umpiring instead.

so here are a few pictures of me (mostly just posing and not really playing haha! :D) and a few picures of my friends too.

waiting in the conference room

here i am in the conference room holding three things all at once. my laptop, my coffee, and a little black book.

laptop for my work. i will be conducting training for three days. it started yesterday and will last till tomorrow.

my coffee. i went home so late last night due to a long meeting. today, since i am conducting training, i have to wake up early. late night and early morning caused me to feel sooo groggy and i really can't help but take my shot of caffeine even though i have successully sworn off coffee for a month now.

finally, the blackbook of restaurant numbers. why? because like i said in my previous post...one of my friends is leaving the company. i am now planning for her farewell party so i have to call a caterer to serve the meals for her party.

whew!

a free day

here i am sitting at my workpod finding myself surprisingly free of work hassles for the day. i finished most of my workload and i still do have some things left to do but i decided to take a 5 mins rest by posting at my blog...

oh well! truth be told i just want an outlet for my depression. i just learned that one dear friend at the office is resigning and some acquaintances as well. people really do go on and i am happy to see them do it. i just feel a little sad that these dear people are going away. parting is a bittersweet experience that constantly happens because people change. i want to learn to accept that.

i wish you luck friends and my heartfelt thanks for the experiences shared.

it's been a while

since i last posted anything. what with all the christmas prep, parties, and ever increasing workload...i barely have time to sleep! nonetheless, 2007 has been a great year for me. i feel so blessed with all the things that came my way.

there are three things that are constant in my life, the very things that make me who i am. my friends, both old and new, with whom i share my life; my family who knows every facet of my being; and Papa God who keeps me centered and focused.

i hope that in this new year, i will be able to make them feel how much they mean to me.

Happy New Year everyone! =)
